Meet the Author

Born and raised in a suburb of Seattle on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, particularly the Duwamish, Regina is a second-generation Chinese American who identifies as neurodiverse and queer.

They hold a master’s degree in modern Chinese literature and culture from UCLA and lived for many years in Mongolia, China, Thailand, and Hawai‘i. Their Chinese ancestry and extensive experience of non-Western, predominantly Buddhist cultures undergird a spiritual foundation rooted in slowing down, staying connected with Nature, and honoring collective and communal paths to healing.

Regina is an Internal Family Systems therapist with specializations in sex therapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Their work is informed by years of classroom teaching as well as practicing and teaching meditation, yoga, and energy healing.
